BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland are set to carry out drainage improvements on the A85, at Comrie from Sunday 3 August.
Works involve repairs to the existing trunk road drainage assets on Drummond Street from the Lednock Bridge to the Bridge Street Junction.
The works will be carried out between the hours of 6pm and 1am each night with the noisiest activities ceasing at 11pm. The project is expected to be completed by the morning of Friday 15 August. There will be no works on Friday or Saturday nights.
To protect the workforce and road users, a single lane will be closed and temporary traffic lights will be in place.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These drainage improvements on the A85 at Comrie aim to fix existing drainage issues found along Drummond Street.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly as possible, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
