BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland will be carrying out essential drainage works for 10 days on the A828 from Monday 24 November.
The works will take place on weekdays only, between 08:00 and 16:30, and are anticipated to be complete on Friday 5 December.
To protect both roadworkers and motorists, temporary two-way traffic lights with a 10mph convoy system will be in place, the traffic management being removed outside of working hours. Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Unit Representative said; “These essential drainage works will help reduce instances of flooding on the A828 Trunk Road and provide a safer route for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
