The northbound A876 between Higgins Neuk Roundabout and Kilbagie Roundabout will be closed between 19:30 and 06:00 on the nights of 15, 16 and 17 July, to allow defects in the carriageway to be repaired.
The work will be carried out by Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland.
A diversion route will be signposted via the A985 over the Kincardine Bridge and the A977. This will add approximately 3 minutes and 0.3 miles to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “It’s essential for the safety of the workforce that we close the carriageway while these repairs are completed, however the diversion is a relatively short one and the works will take place at night, so we don’t expect this to cause significant delays.”
Live traffic information is available from Traffic Scotland at www.traffic.gov.scot or on X at @trafficscotland.
Consultation has been carried out with relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the works in advance.
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
