  • Overnight slip road closure 21 June 2024

The slip road onto the northbound M9 at Junction 5 Cadgers Brae will be closed for carriageway repairs between 20:30 and 05:30 on the night of Friday 21 June.

Traffic wishing to join the M9 northbound will be diverted via the M9 southbound to return northbound from M9 Junction 4 Lathallan. This will add approximately 3.2 miles and 4 minutes to affected journeys.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the works. Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We thank motorists and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out these essential repairs. We’ll do all we can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journey.

All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
