BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out essential road resurfacing improvements on the A9 single carriageway between Killiecrankie and House of Urrard, from Sunday 7 June.
The works will take place between 7pm and 6am each night, with works expected to be completed by Thursday 18 June. A convoy system will be in operation overnight to guide vehicles safely through the site at a reduced speed limit of 10mph.
Traffic management measures will be removed outwith working hours however speed restrictions will be in operation during the day, as traffic will be running on a temporary surface with no road markings.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager said: “These works will fix existing defects in the road surface at this section of the A9 improving driving conditions for road users.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience during this time.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
