BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential improvements on the A83 north of Minard on the night of Wednesday 28 January between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
To protect the workforce and the travelling public, the road will be closed overnight with hourly amnesties at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am and 5am. This provides timed access when vehicles will be safely guided through the work site under a 10mph convoy.
Traffic management measures will be removed when works are completed on the morning of Thursday 29 January. Road markings will be reinstated at a later date and signage will remain in place to notify drivers.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These works will help restore the condition of the road surface of this section of the A83, improving driving conditions for road users.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
