BRIDGE MAINTENANCE ON A84 WEST OF DRUMMOND

May 23, 2025

  • One day of works on Tuesday 27 May

  • Two-way traffic lights 8am until 4:30pm

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential bridge investigation works on the bridge carrying the A84 over the watercourse near Keltie Bridge Caravan Park on approach to Callander.

This essential maintenance work is scheduled to commence on Tuesday 27 May at 8am and is expected to be completed by 4:30pm.

To protect road users and the workforce, this section of the A84 will be reduced to one lane with a temporary three-way traffic lights system in place during working hours.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North-West Representative, said “These essential works include inspecting and cleaning each bearing to ensure they are functioning effectively.

“Our team will do everything possible to complete this essential maintenance as quickly and safely as possible. We thank all road users and the local community for their patience in advance.

“Please plan ahead by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date journey information and leave some extra time to complete journeys.”
