August 31, 2023

BEAR Scotland has raised £18,000 for Cash for Kids in its annual Charity Golf Day at the Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club near Edinburgh thanks to the overwhelming support from a number of its key suppliers and subcontractors who got involved.

The 4-ball shotgun tournament got underway on the country club’s West Course, with 72 players competing for individual and team prizes. The golfers then enjoyed a meal, raffle draw, and charity auction hosted by Bauer Media presenters and DJ’s Gavin Pearson and Lynsey Gibson.

There were fantastic prizes up for grabs including a 4-ball at Gleneagles, a Titleist Scotty Cameron Putter, and a variety of the latest Apple products.

Iain Murray, BEAR Scotland’s Managing Director said: “It was another great day at the Dalmahoy. The fantastic total raised for Cash for Kids means that we’ve donated over £48K in three years for the worthy cause that supports kids throughout the communities in which we operate.

“The support we received from our suppliers and subcontractors was fundamental in raising the incredible amount that we did.”

Emma Kemp, South East Regional Charity Manager for Cash for Kids said: “Every year the request for support from children facing hardships is higher than previous and it is vital that we can continue to be the lifeline for those children.

“The support we receive from BEAR Scotland is outstanding and helps us continue offering support and we are really very thankful.”
