BEAR FOOTBALLERS RAISE £2,254 FOR MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY

May 2, 2025

Scotland’s leading trunk road operating company BEAR Scotland held its thirteenth annual charity five-a-side football tournament on 25 April 2025, raising £2,254 for Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).
The event saw eleven teams of BEAR Scotland co-workers become competitors at Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre in Glenrothes, the first time the tournament had been held at this venue.
Iain Murray, BEAR Scotland’s Managing Director said: “This annual tradition, which started in 2010, is particularly important to us as a company. It is a great show of employee engagement and support for one of Scotland’s vital mental health charities, SAMH.”
As ever, it was a hard-fought contest, with teams from the North West and South East trunk road units that BEAR operates going head-to-head in the final.
The South East’s Burghmuir BEARS took the glory with a 2-0 victory over the North West’s Mix’n’Match.
