BEAR Scotland Engagement Manager Joanna Buggy explains: “As a company we want to make a real difference and deliver a positive social footprint within the communities we serve.
“The amount of fundraising and active community engagement from the BEAR workforce is fantastic. We’re really proud to have donated a total of £59,000 over the last twelve months.
“Every year our staff vote for the causes they want to support, both at a national level and in their local communities. We also support several long-term charity partners, local sports and educational initiatives, and individual employee fundraising.”
As well as fundraising, BEAR staff committed over 1,000 volunteer hours to provide support ‘in-kind’, ranging from erecting gala day bunting and Christmas lights, to litter-picking and helping make playground improvements.
Over 10,000 young learners also took part in interactive engineering workshops provided by BEAR to schools across Scotland in person and online.
