• Overnight resurfacing works begin Thursday 8 October

• Works will take place at four locations

• Overnight road closures and signed diversion required for three phases

• Project scheduled for completion by Wednesday 4 November

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road surfacing improvements at four locations on the A889 between Dalwhinnie and Catlodge, from Thursday 8 October.

The project will be carried out in four phases, with the road closures generally implemented between Monday and Friday nights, with one Sunday night closure also planned for North of Dalwhinnie Quarry on 18 October.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager, said: “This resurfacing project will address defects at four locations to provide safer and smoother journeys for road users.

“Our teams will work overnight to complete these improvements as efficiently as possible while keeping disruption to a minimum. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while the works are carried out.

“We encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance and check Traffic Scotland for the latest travel information.”

All works are weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable.
