Given the updated forecast for today indicating heavy rainfall becoming more intense in the early afternoon, traffic will be diverted onto the Old Military Road Local Diversion Route from midday today (Sunday 21 January).  The OMR is then expected to continue to be utilised overnight.

Subject to the outcome of hillside inspections and ongoing review of forecasts and hillside saturation it is then anticipated that the A83 will re-open to traffic during the day on Monday 22 January.

Our team continues to have a presence on site and are monitoring conditions closely. A further update will be issued if there is any change to the above traffic management arrangement.
