A68 RESURFACING WORKS NORTH OF HUMBIE

June 10, 2026

  • Overnight road closures 16 to 24 June 2026

The A68 north of Humbie, near Fala, will be closed for overnight resurfacing works on Monday to Friday nights from Tuesday 16 June to Wednesday 24 June.

Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will be managing the works between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 each night.

A signed diversion route will be in place between Ravenswood Roundabout and the A68/Tynehead junction, via the A6091, A7 and B6458. This will add approximately 5.7 miles and 13 minutes to affected journeys.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We understand that road closures of this nature can be disruptive and so we’ve planned for these works to take place overnight to reduce their impact.

“If you need to travel on the A68 during these works, our advice is to plan ahead and allow extra time for the diversion.

“We thank the local community for their patience while these essential improvements are completed.”

All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions. Live traffic information is available from Traffic Scotland at www.traffic.gov.scot or on X at @trafficscotland.
