BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage investigation works on the A9 at Dalshian from Monday 9 November.
The investigation works will be undertaken between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day and are expected to be completed by the evening of Thursday 12 November.
The A9 dual carriageway will remain open. However, it will be necessary to implement lane closures starting on the southbound carriageway then switching to the northbound. This is to ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, and will be removed outwith working hours.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Steven Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Design Manager said; “These investigation works will provide valuable information on the condition of the drainage system and clear any blockages.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works quickly with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these essential investigations.
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
