A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor in our Perth depot.

Reporting to the South Area Operations Manager, the Supervisor will carry out supervision of a road’s maintenance team in Perth Depot, to deliver cyclic maintenance programme, Cat 1 defect repairs, scheme work, emergencies and winter and any associated tasks relating to the maintenance team.

Role includes:

  • Lead roads maintenance team activities on trunk roads in the North West of Scotland.
  • Site visits
  • Administration of records including timesheets, scheme files etc.
  • Manage team Health & Safety.
  • Work to cyclic maintenance programme.
  • Produce rotas for emergency and winter rotas.
  • Carry out inspections of completed works.
  • Produce and review Health & Safety documentation.
  • Be part of standby rota
  • Flexibility to lead nightshift works as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in roads maintenance.
  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Must be competent in Word/Excel.
  • Commercially aware.
  • A fully approved UK driving licence.
