We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team working on our long-term Contract with Transport Scotland to manage and maintain the Scottish Trunk Road Network.

You will be based at the office in Perth; however, we do operate a hybrid working model which is currently 3 days office based and 2 days at home.

The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of the commercial function within the Contract.

You will collaborate with the team to:

  • Measure and value progress of works based on a schedule of rates.
  • Collection, collation, and storage of relevant measurement data.
  • Ensuring all site and measurement records are completed by our operational teams.
  • Management of SubContractors including assessing applications, preparing payment notices, monthly liabilities, and accruals.
  • Reporting the Cost/Value analysis of various sized projects.

 

We want to hear from you if you have any of the below skills:

  • Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management degree/qualification (Essential)
  • Quantity Surveying experience
  • Background in civils or construction environments (Desirable)
  • Strong IT skills – particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills
  • Sound knowledge of MMHW
