About the opportunity:

We are seeking the appointment of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join our team, who have proven commercial delivery experience gained across a range of projects in a multi-disciplinary term maintenance environment.  With a sound understanding of commercial management, contract and valuation principles.

The successful candidates will provide a full range of pre and post contract quantity surveying and commercial management services.

Job Responsibilities:

Include, but not limited to the following:

• Utilise BEAR best practice tools and processes to support the effective commercial delivery and management
• Support the Commercial Manager to manage projects through the entire project lifecycle.
• Support and input into procurement and tendering processes and evaluation/award of subcontracts.
• Be proficient in measurement for schedules of works and bills of quantities production.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations with subcontractors and issue recommendations for payment.
• Attend client and progress and measurement meetings and provide input and support to the Contract.
• Price and prepare monthly financial reports that contribute to the overall preparation of the Valid Statement and cashflow forecasts.

Here’s What You Will Need:

• Degree/Diploma educated in quantity surveying or other relevant commercial management qualification
• Working knowledge of civil engineering standard forms of contract and methods of measurement
• Full pre- and post-contract QS knowledge and experience.
• Good general commercial and contract awareness.
• To be good team player.
• Able to act on own initiative.
• Experience working on civil engineering and/or infrastructure projects, would be desirable but not essential.
