Operations Administration Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the South East Operations team for an Administration Assistant.

This role will report to the Operations Manager.

The role is permanent and will be based in our Bonnyrigg depot. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, have the ability to work effectively in a team, have strong report writing and administrative skills and a flexible attitude to working practices.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures that form part of BEAR’s Integrated Management Systems.
  • Preparation of reports and correspondence responses.
  • Ordering building and office materials.
  • Managing driver’s vehicle defect sheets and drivers’ logbooks.
  • Collating timesheets, salt records, winter records, plant/vehicle accruals.
  • General admin duties – posters, depot signs, labels, keys, route cards.
  • Office and reception management.
